Surely one of the more useful tool in the workshop is the air compressor ; we can find it for everyone's taste and budget, but, as a modeler, we couldn't but consider to build one by ourselves..There certainly are many ways to build one, so our is surely one of the many possible way, and obviously we encourage you to use your own experience in order to better both operations and attractiveness. Our goal was to build a small capacity one, but big enough for our applications, by means of junk materials and components so to reduce the cost and the weight, to easy its transportability wherever needed, and, most of all, to reuse all those scraps that everyone of us has forgotten in a drawer, in order to minimize the number of brand new parts.Fridge's compressors are particularly good at this scope, by having enough power, reduced overall dimensions, extremely low noise and, of course, a very low price. In our country we can easily find them by junk dealers almost for free.
